Unique in Canada, the mission of the AboutFace Post-Secondary Scholarships is to support the education and advancement of students in the facial difference community.

Two scholarships are awarded each year through the AboutFace Post-Secondary Scholarship Fund and these are made possible through the generosity of donors.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The scholarship is for a person living with a facial difference who is a resident of Canada.
  • The student can be entering any year, for any degree, diploma, or certificate program – but the recipient can only receive one $2,000 scholarship in a lifetime.
  • The student must be entering or enrolled in a full-time vocational, university, or college program at a recognized post-secondary institution.

Creating opportunities

“I imagine telling a younger version of myself that I have received support from an organization that welcomes and inspires individuals with facial differences. The thought of this opportunity makes me so proud of the younger version of myself for continuing through every moment that I have ever felt ashamed, lost confidence, or doubted my identity because of my difference.”
